Efficient Beet Storage and Ventilation Systems by Agrovent
Beet Storage Ventilation System
Proper ventilation is critical for maintaining the quality of sugar beets during storage. Agrovent offers a reliable, flexible, and energy-efficient system designed for large storage piles and various climate conditions - from - 40°C to +40°C.
Perforated Air Duct System
The core of the system consists of spiral air ducts made from durable 2.5 mm galvanized steel with rib stiffeners and precision perforations that ensure uniform airflow across the entire pile.
Each duct is built from modular 3-meter elements with a 710 mm diameter, connected by matching nipples.Key advantages:
- Can support pile heights up to 9 meters
- Fully customizable lengths and widths to fit facilities of any size
- Quick installation and portability - ducts can be easily reassembled and reused in different locations
- Even air distribution, minimizing condensation and spoilage
High-Pressure Fan System
High-performance axial fans generate the required airflow through the duct system and the stored beets.
These fans:
- Operate efficiently in extreme climates (-40°C to +40°C)
- Are weatherproof, designed for open-air installation
- Require a stable mounting platform to ensure performance and safety
Artificial ventilation is the only way to maintain sufficient airflow within large beet piles - preventing overheating, mold, and spoilage.
Automation and Control System
Agrovent provides automation systems for beet-pile ventilation that can operate in both manual and automatic modes:
Manual Mode
-
Controlled through a power cabinet (IP54 protection) with circuit breakers and soft starters
-
Equipped with a fan heater and thermostatic controller to maintain internal temperature between +5°C and +15°C, ensuring stable operation in cold conditions
Automatic Mode
-
A central controller collects data from sensors measuring temperature, humidity, and airflow
-
The system automatically adjusts fan operation to maintain the optimal microclimate
-
Operators can set desired temperature and humidity limits and receive automatic alerts if parameters go out of range
-
Full remote access via mobile device or PC, allowing monitoring and control from anywhere
Result: Controlled Climate. Stable Quality.
With Agrovent’s beet storage ventilation and automation solutions, producers achieve:
-
Reduced spoilage and sugar loss
-
Stable temperature and humidity control
-
Improved energy efficiency
-
Lower operational costs
This system ensures that your beet harvest remains fresh, clean, and profitable - from the first day of storage to the last.
