Build a four-section storage facility with centralized automated control and fully integrated ventilation and mechanical-refrigeration systems.

Solution

To achieve long-term, high-quality storage results, the facility incorporates:

Aspiration-system technology for stable and efficient air distribution
Specialized refrigerants engineered specifically for vegetable-storage applications
High-pressure humidification systems installed in all chambers for uniform humidity levels

This combination ensures a controlled microclimate ideal for hot, dry, or highly variable climates typical of India, Africa, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The project was executed by Agrovent’s engineering team, construction department, and specialists in ventilation and refrigeration technologies.

In response to a sharp market demand and rising potato prices, the client requested the installation of a mechanical refrigeration system in one of the sections mid-season—in February.

Despite the very tight deadline and the fact that potatoes were already inside the chamber, the equipment was delivered rapidly and installed without disrupting the stored crop.
To minimize the use of floor space, the refrigeration unit was assembled on a compact single frame, simplifying and speeding up installation.

Our collaboration with the client is ongoing, with additional storage phases planned for upcoming seasons.
