Automated Multi-Section Vegetable Storage System for Frameless Buildings
Solution
To expand usable storage capacity and improve energy efficiency, the project required several non-standard engineering solutions:

Custom-designed exhaust and intake valves were manufactured to reduce the load on axial-flow fans while increasing available storage volume. This allowed the system to operate more efficiently and maintain stable airflow even in a frameless building structure.

A specialized high-pressure humidification system was developed specifically for use in frameless buildings, preventing product dehydration throughout the storage season.

All four storage sections were equipped with a centralized automation platform that manages ventilation, cooling, and humidification systems in real time.
This configuration ensures reliable long-term storage performance in hot, humid, and variable climates typical of India, Africa, the Middle East, and the UAE.

The project was carried out by Agrovent’s design engineers, construction department, and specialists in ventilation and microclimate systems.
Because the new storage facilities were equipped with automated microclimate control, while the older ones had no automation, Agrovent proposed integrating all buildings into a single unified control system.
The previously built storage facility already featured a high-pressure humidification system, which significantly reduced product dehydration during the entire storage cycle and was fully compatible with the new automation ecosystem.
