  • Cooling the produce: lowering the chamber temperature to the required level, which slows down respiration and aging of vegetables.

Power consumption depends on load and equipment efficiency and is usually within 15–150 kW per 1,000 tons of produce. To regulate capacity and provide redundancy, compressor stations are often equipped with multiple compressors, allowing flexible response to changing thermal loads.

Automation and Scalability
