1,000-Ton Containerized Potato Storage Facility

1,000-Ton Containerized Potato Storage Facility

Containerized vegetable storage with Dragon-M ventilation, Bitzer refrigeration, and Croptimiz-r automation for reliable, long-term climate control.

Capacity: 1,000 t Chamber: 36×15 m Delivery: 6 weeks

Agrovent developed and launched a potato storage facility with a capacity of 1,000 tons using advanced containerized storage technology. The solution supports long-term storage of potatoes, onions, and beets while maintaining a stable microclimate for quality preservation and reduced losses.
An air preparation chamber along the external wall manages temperature, humidity, and airflow. Fresh air enters via intake valves; heaters, humidifiers, coolers, and recirculation valves maintain precise conditions for safe storage.

Project Objectives

  • Design, production, and installation of a complete ventilation & refrigeration system for potatoes.
  • Create two independent climate zones within a single chamber.
  • Meet a strict six-week timeline from design to commissioning.
  • Customize ventilation grilles to the client’s color scheme.

Agrovent’s Storage Solution

  • Dragon-M Technology for efficient cooling, uniform temperature-humidity field, and CO₂ removal.
  • Bitzer Compressor at the core of the refrigeration unit for reliability and efficiency.
  • Croptimiz-r Controllers enabling remote monitoring and precise climate automation. Results & Benefits
  • Long-Term Storage Reduced spoilage and improved quality for potatoes and other vegetables.
  • Energy Efficiency Optimized climate control for lower operating costs.
  • Reliable Microclimate Stable temperature, humidity, and airflow across the chamber.
  • Fast Delivery End-to-end project execution completed in just six weeks.

Standards Compliance

  • Built to meet modern agricultural and food safety requirements.
  • Remote Control Continuous monitoring and adjustments via Croptimiz-r. Implementation Stages
  • Engineering & project design
